Kam Mak’s exhibition From Oil Paint to Egg Tempera: Portraitures and Still Lifes will be on view from October 1 through January 24, 2016, at the central branch of the Brooklyn Public Library at Grand Army Plaza in the first floor Young Adult Reading Room. The exhibition explores the painting medium, techniques, and methodology of egg tempera, a primary method of easel painting used in Italy until after 1500, when it was replaced by the invention of oil paints. Works include portraits of the diverse FIT community in addition to traditional still lifes. For more information, contact Kam Mak, 75840.
