ARTSpeak Student Exhibition: Perfect False

April 8-May 6
Gladys Marcus Library

Perfect False is an exhibition of work by Fine Arts students curated and with catalog text by Art History and Museum Professions students, on view in the library. The exhibition includes work made collaboratively and individually on the theme of Utopia/Dystopia, and is part of the interdisciplinary program ARTSpeak.

ARTSpeak 2015-16, which is presented by the departments of Fine Arts and History of Art, is a series of lectures and activities on the theme of the Obstacle Race. It explores the difficulties artists face in today’s urban economic environment and the means of overcoming them.

Other ARTSpeak activities this year include student visits to artist studios and collectives, and an artist panel discussion to take place on Monday, April 18, 6:30-8:30 pm.

These events and activities have been made possible in part through funding by the FIT Student-Faculty Corporation, the School of Art and Design, and the School of Liberal Arts.
