Helene Verin and Elizabeth Field will present a workshop at the 2016 Fashion Colloquia in São Paulo on April 12. Their workshop, titled “Internships: The Way Into a Fashion Career,” will discuss how internships have replaced entry-level jobs as a gateway to the fashion industry. Verin and Field will share with fashion educators from all over the world the techniques and strategies they have developed over their long tenure as counselors in FIT’s Career and Internship Center, including writing effective cover letters and resumes, identifying internship opportunities, maximizing portfolios, and acing interviews.
