When Good Morning America invited the college to bring a large group of students to a preview of Gigi Hadid and Tommy Hilfiger’s new collection on a segment on the September 9 live show, 38 Presidential Scholars jumped at the opportunity—even though they needed to arrive at the studio in Times Square at 6:30 am.
Seated at café tables in the show’s brand-new second-floor studio, the students experienced how a live broadcast is produced, chatted off-camera with hosts Michael Strahan and Robin Roberts, and were seen on-screen by their friends and families watching at home. During the fashion show, Hadid and Hilfiger sat among some of the students. The highlight was when two students presented a question each. The first was geared to Hadid, and Hilfiger replied to the second.
