Kyunghee Pyun Awarded Frick Fellowship

Kyunghee Pyun, History of Art, has been awarded a five-month research fellowship to be a Scholar in Residence at the Center for the History of Collecting at the Frick Collection in New York City, beginning in January 2017. This rare and prestigious fellowship follows on the research that Pyun has been pursuing in recent years. She will do critical research on the language and authentication of Asian art during the turn of the 20th century, when Westerners had limited knowledge of Asiatic languages and cultures at the same time as there was an increased demand by collectors for high-quality non-Western art.

For more information, contact Pyun, 212 217.4648.
