Ann Cantrell, Fashion Business Management, who also owns the Annie’s Blue Ribbon General Store in Brooklyn, was asked by American Express to help ring the bell at the New York Stock Exchange November 23 in honor of Small Business Saturday, the shopping day American Express branded to encourage people to patronize small, privately owned businesses the day after Black Friday. Cantrell, who has been featured in the financial services company’s Small Business Saturday ad campaigns before, was the only business owner on the podium.
