Welcome to the Office of Event Management and Facilities Rental

The Office of Facilities and Special Events is now the Office of Event Management and Facilities Rental. The office, which is part of the Division of Communications and External Relations, oversees space and facilities reservations throughout the college—both internally for FIT-produced events, and externally for outside organizations that use campus facilities for events, workshops, and more. The new name better reflects the work of the office in helping event coordinators manage their events on campus to ensure the most effective and smooth experience while they are here.

Event Management and Facilities Rental has been gradually expanding, and plans to add more staff over the next four years to better provide on-campus event production support. The office continues to work with Media and Event Technology Services to improve FIT’s service to current clients and reach out to new ones.

Mary Oleniczak, who has been the director of the office since 2006, was promoted to executive director to help guide the expansion of the office and to recognize her hard work in expanding the scope, role, and responsibilities of the unit.
