Helene Verin Profiled as Subject for Warhol and Philip Pearlstein

Helene Verin, Career and Internship Services, was the subject of an article on Artsy.net titled “This Woman Sat for Warhol, and 36 Years Later She Sat for Philip Pearlstein.” In it, Verin describes how her original portrait by Andy Warhol came about, Warhol’s friendship with artist Philip Pearlstein, and the experience of sitting for Pearlstein. Verin recently wrote a book, Musing: Sitting for a Portrait by Philip Pearlstein, that accompanies an exhibition of his work, Facing You, currently on view at Betty Cunningham Gallery.
