New York Textile Month: Express Fashion

As part of New York Textile Month, Textile/Surface Design and Fabric Styling will co-host an event with Kornit Digital titled “Express Fashion.” Visitors interested in digital printing as an eco-friendly and profitable solution will view a display of recent, digitally printed textile collections printed using Kornit’s advanced technology.
Kornit’s CEO Gabi Seligsohn will discuss how the company is taking advantage of the revolution in apparel shopping habits. Omer Kulka, Kornit’s VP of marketing and product strategy, will talk about the online business boom in the fashion industry. Textile/Surface Design faculty member Ellen Oster will discuss the importance of the transition from analog to digital printing.
The keynote speaker is Raphael Peck, president of Fanatics Brands, which is a top 50 internet retailer and market leader in authentic and officially licensed apparel for sports fans. Fanatics specializes in short production turnaround time to address real-time event-driven demand. Peck’s presentation, “Proximity Garment Decoration” details how Fanatics is addressing a booming market with innovative marketing and manufacturing technologies, as well as how Fanatics is planning to take its innovative production capabilities and apply them to retail and wholesale markets.
