Talking Trade at FIT: Luxury African Fashion

Part of the International Trade and Marketing Department’s Talking Trade at FIT lecture series, the first panel discussion of the fall semester is titled “Luxury African Fashion: Entrepreneurship and E-Commerce.” Speakers will discuss their experiences with and lessons learned from building their luxury African fashion businesses.

Panelists will be: Julien Labat, chief executive officer, Edun-Americas, Inc.; Afua Dabanka, founder of Mo’saique; Autumn Adeigbo, founder of the fashion design company Autumn Adeigbo; Stevie Boi, founder of the luxury eyewear brand SBShades; and Hanneli Ruppert, founder of Merchants on Long. Alexis Rai Gaynor, CEO and founder of the Rai Group International, executive director of the African Fashion Fund, and contributor, influencer, and elite global ambassador for Mogul, will be the moderator.
