March 30, 2017 at 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Jenelle Eli, director of International Communications at American Red Cross in Washington D.C., will address current issues surrounding refugees, with a focus on the Mediterranean. Eli found herself in the heart of this refugee crisis as she volunteered aboard the rescue ship Responder last fall. She is part of a Red Cross/Red Crescent team providing care and comfort to migrants rescued from the Mediterranean’s rough waters.

This lecture is part of the World Affairs Lecture Series, which is sponsored by the Department of Social Sciences and the Presidential Scholars Program.

This event is open to the FIT community only.
