In her sixth year as chancellor of SUNY, Nancy L. Zimpher was recognized for her distinguished public service by the New York State Academy for Public Administration with the Nelson A. Rockefeller Award, the highest recognition of its kind in the state. Under Zimpher’s leadership, SUNY has broadened its service to students through initiatives such as Open SUNY, seamless transfer, and a commitment to applied learning in order to increase access, completion, and student success.
