Apparel.Edgl.com (January 12), CPAPracticeAdvisor.com (January 16), and Military-Technologies.net (January 17) all reported that two Fashion Business Management students participated in a live online discussion that announced the results of a study conducted by IBM and the National Retail Federation, which found that almost all members of Generation Z prefer to shop in brick-and-mortar stores rather than online.

RedBluffDailyNews.com (January 14) mentioned that FIT offers courses in Pet Product Design in an article on dressing pets for winter weather.

FootwearNews.com (January 14) announced that Den Ly, a senior in the Accessories Design program, was the winner of a contest sponsored by Spanish footwear brand Pikolinos. His design will be featured in their spring 2018 collection.

WWD.com (January 17) reported on the upcoming Fashion Culture event Red Carpet Style. At the talk, author Hal Rubenstein will discuss the influence of red carpet looks on today’s society.

Black Fashion Designers, currently on display at The Museum at FIT (MFIT), received coverage on Elle.com (January 11) and PollyTalkfromNewYork.com (January 16).

Paris Refashioned, 1957-1968, which will open at MFIT on February 10, received advance coverage on Vogue.fr (France, January 12).
