Yearbook editor, Tony Lopez, mentioned in this note would go on to become the world-renowned illustrator, Antonio.

Currently on display in the 4th floor of the Gladys Marcus Library, Decades of Drop Dead Designs highlights selections from the rich history of FIT student fashion shows available from the library’s Special Collections and College Archives unit. The exhibition spans 66 years, from a show held in conjunction with FIT’s first commencement exercises in 1946 through materials from 2012. These include photographs from the 1940s to 1960s, original programs from the fashion shows, and features from the Portfolio  yearbook, as well as items from the college days of noted alumni Byron Lars and Antonio Lopez. Plus this video of the Soul Club Fashion Show from 1982!

The exhibition will be on view for the Spring 2018 semester.
