Jean Feinberg’s Work Set for Exhibition in New York After Success in Boston

After a successful one-person exhibition in May in Boston at the Beth Urdang Gallery, Jean Feinberg, Fine Arts, will send a series of new paintings to Thompson Giroux Gallery for a group exhibition in the fall.

Feinberg’s oil paintings on found wood are abstract and nonobjective, characterized by a sparse sense of geometry and lush, rich, and complex color. The salvaged wood is often origin and counterpoint to the color of interventions and landscape, light, weather, place, and incidental moment are the acknowledged inspirations of the artist’s joy and wonder in color and color mixing.
