Arthur Kopelman Leads Seal Walks at Westhampton Beach

SUNY Distinguished Service Professor Arthur Kopelman, Science and Math, leads educational walks to observe, photograph, and learn about seals. Kopelman is the president of the Coastal Research and Education Society of Long Island or CRESLI, a group founded by experts in marine mammal science, environmental sciences, education, and conservation; CRESLI uses information compiled during these walks to catalog the seal population for research.

Walks begin November 24 and are held Saturdays and Sundays through April 28 and begin at Cupsogue Beach Country Park, Westhampton Beach, New York. Click here for dates and to make a reservation.
