Vincent Quan, associate professor, Fashion Business Management, on cryptocurrency: “As cryptocurrency gains in popularity, its acceptance as a medium of exchange is also growing. However, crypto’s unregulated nature makes it a more volatile store of value.”

Natasha Degen, chair, Art Market Studies, on the legacy of artist Chuck Close: “There is such an institutional consensus around him that he will remain part of the art-historical canon.”

Wes Gordon Honored
In September, The Couture Council of The Museum at FIT honored Wes Gordon, creative director of Carolina Herrera, with its 2021 Couture Council Award for Artistry of Fashion at Cipriani South Street. The luncheon benefited the recently reopened Museum at FIT (MFIT), and raised nearly $700,000.
