A Yearning for Perfection

February 17 at 12:15 pm - 1:00 pm

flyer for Bronk event

Join a conversation between Tom Bronk (b. 1944) and John Paul Jang (AHMP ‘22). In his Op Art paintings, Bronk explores ratio, linearity, and symmetry. His diagnosis of late stage Parkinson’s disease, uncontrollable shaking, and loss of balance does not stop his yearning for perfect geometry in his paintings.

John Paul Jang is the senator of the Art History and Museum Professions program and co-founder of the Artchive series. She has volunteered to assist Bronk in his painting procedure.

Learn about Bronk’s unconventional artistic journey, platforms for outsider artists, and about disability inclusion in the art world.

This virtual event is free and open to the public; scan the QR code in the flyer above to join on the date/time the event.
