ARTSpeak: The State of the Museum Panel Discussion

The State of the Museum panel discussion will bring together a group of esteemed curators and historians who will discuss the role of museums in contemporary culture today, and the challenges they face. The panel will include:

• Ashley James, Associate Curator, Contemporary Art, Guggenheim Museum, NY;
• Andrea Achi, Associate Curator of Byzantine Art, The Met Museum, NYC;
• Eric Shiner, President of Powerhouse Arts, Brooklyn, NY; and
• Sara Raza, Artistic Director and Chief Curator of the Center for Contemporary Art in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The State of the Museum is part of the ARTSpeak series. The Fine Arts Department has collaborated with the History of Art Department and Art Market Studies for this event.
