Black History Month Opening Program and Keynote Address

February 6, 2019 at 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

SUNY Board of Trustees Chairman H. Carl McCall will deliver the keynote for the opening of Black History Month at FIT. The national theme this year is Black Migrations, emphasizing the movement of people of African descent to new destinations and subsequently to new social realities. While inclusive of earlier centuries, this theme focuses especially on the 20th century through today.

Student events and refreshments to follow McCall’s remarks.

Sponsored by the FIT Diversity Council.

This event is for the FIT community only.
