FIT is the educational partner of the Chelsea Film Festival, which will take place Thursday, October 19 to Sunday, October 22. The event, now in its fifth year, is an international festival that highlights the work of emerging filmmakers, producers, and actors. As a partner, FIT will host screenings on campus in the Katie Murphy Amphitheatre, in the Pomerantz Center, and in the David Dubinsky Student Center.

The Student in Film Panel is presented by the FIT Film and Media program. This panel of student filmmakers will discuss the challenges and advantages of studying filmmaking in the 21st century in New York City, and how the revolution of streaming and disruptive media shape their views of the future of the industry.

Carolyn LaVeglia (Hunter College)
Victoria Rozler (FIT)(whose film, MENstruation, screens at 11 am at the AMC Loews Theater on 34th St.)
