Employee Wellness Program: Maintaining a Healthy Back and Neck

The Employee Wellness Program holds a lecture with licensed physical therapist/spine specialist Michael Post from NYU Langone Medical Center to provide useful information to prevent and minimize back and neck pain. Post will discuss basic spine anatomy, personal risk factors for injury, as well as recommendations for preventing injury. He will also teach some basic exercises and strategies to maintain a healthy, pain-free back.

Michael Post, PT, DPT, Cert. MDT, received his doctorate from Ithaca College and has worked for nearly three years at the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist and is certified in mechanical diagnosis and therapy. Currently working at NYU Langone’s Center for Musculoskeletal Care, Post works to reduce pain, maintain pain reduction while recovering function, prevent recurrent injury, and educate clients on self-treatment of future injuries.

Funding for the Employee Wellness Program is provided by the Student Faculty Corporation.
