Exhibition: #IMPACT: The Future Is Inclusive — Opens
February 12, 2019
February 12–March 5
Professor C.J. Yeh, Communication Design, curates an interdisciplinary exhibition examining the importance of creativity for social impact and inclusion. #IMPACT: The Future Is Inclusive is an exhibition about the imagination and its effects on positive social change.
Yeh will curate work by students, faculty, and alumni, as well work by an invited artist to demonstrate the political implications of creativity and community.
Exhibiting artists include Troy Richards, Dan Shefelman, Ron Amato, Suzanne Anoushian, Kam Mak, Wendy Yothers, Jack Travis, William Low, Soojin Han, Sakurako Shimizu, Morgan Winter, and Thaddeus Coates. A special Creative Technology class augmented reality project, Swiss in Motion, created by Advertising Design BFA and Graphic Design BFA students, will also be on view.
The Art and Design Gallery brings together the work of students, faculty, FIT alumni, and invited outside artists in every exhibition. The gallery, located in the glass-walled lobby of FIT’s Pomerantz Center, is a window into the college and a window out, serving as a space to foster learning and innovation.
