Exhibition: The Future Is … The Human Experience — Closes
December 1, 2018
October 16–December 1, 2018
The first exhibition in the new Art and Design Gallery, titled The Future Is … The Human Experience, will feature work from students, faculty, and alumni.
The back gallery will feature a photography exhibition titled Inside: A Human Experience with works by award-winning alumna Arlene Gottfried (on loan from the Daniel Cooney Gallery in Chelsea) and distinguished Photography Adjunct Instructor Curtis Willocks, as well as participating students Tanner Albright, Lucy Borden, Catherine McWilliams, and Andrea Zalkin.
Figurative paintings and sculptures arranged in the lobby are hung salon style with clay sculpted heads made by current students. This is a place of experimentation with new artworks being added throughout the fall semester as they are completed in class. Fine Arts Assistant Professor Julia Jacquette’s iconic sculptural painting illuminates the whole display from its installed spot in the center of the lobby. Two large oil paintings from recent graduate Raisa Nosova will also be featured.
