Fashion Culture: Black in Fashion: 100 Years of Style, Influence, and Culture

Tonya Blazio-Licorish, archives editor with WWD and co-author of Black in Fashion, present and host a panel discussion on the book, a celebration of Black voices in fashion as captured by Women’s Wear Daily contributors and photographers since the publication’s inception in 1910. WWD is showcased here with more than 375 black-and-white and color photographs, illustrations, and articles from its massive archive. Panelists include designers Aaron Potts and Byron Lars.

A book signing follows the event.

Fashion Culture programs are organized by The Museum at FIT to provide new perspectives on the culture of fashion. All programs are free unless otherwise indicated.
