Fashion Culture: Objects of Wonder for ‘Person Place Thing’

March 4 at 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

dress printed with Archimboldo's Vertumnus on a mannequin

Join Randy Cohen and Dr. Colleen Hill in an engaging conversation about the exhibition Fashioning Wonder: A Cabinet of Curiosities.

Cohen’s podcast Person Place Thing is an interview show based on the idea that people are most captivating when they talk not directly about themselves, but about something they care about. Hill, MFIT’s senior curator of costume, discusses three particularly meaningful objects featured in the exhibition and how they piqued her curiosity.

Fashion Culture programs are organized by The Museum at FIT to provide new perspectives on the culture of fashion. All programs are free unless otherwise indicated. However, reservations are strongly encouraged, as space is limited. See a full calendar of spring 2025 Fashion Culture Program events on the museum website.
