Fashion Farming: Peru Symposium

Join the graduate students from FIT’s Fashion Design MFA program for an evening symposium as they present their findings on alpaca and vicuña fiber sourcing, production, and marketing in Peru. The research was compiled during a two-week field study course in Arequipa and Lima, where students explored the alpaca and vicuña industry from farm to factory to retail. Through onsite exploration and independent research, students were challenged to investigate the role of producers and their value within the supply chain.
