Fine Lines: Reclaiming Imperiled Language and Culture—The Art of [Im]migration

This moderated panel features an archeologist, writer, and photographer discussing their work exploring and reclaiming the heritage of imperiled regions and cultures. Speakers are Yannis Hamilakis, an activist/archaeologist/curator who documents migration and refugee camps on the island of Lesvos in Greece; Marwa Helal, author of Invasive Species, and an English and Communication Studies faculty member; and Steven Molina Contreras, an FIT Photography student whose work documenting immigration issues has been featured by Aperture.

Fine Lines has been funded by a grant from the FIT Diversity Council.
