Hue Live Online Event: Making a Scene: Emmy-winning Costume Designer Zaldy Goco

Zaldy GocoIn this virtual Hue Live event, Hue Managing Editor Alex Joseph hosts a conversation with designer Zaldy Goco, , Fashion Design ’90, on dressing RuPaul, Gaga, Michael Jackson, nightlife doyenne Susanne Bartsch, and many, many more.

Zaldy is a three-time Emmy Award winning costume designer. Coming from the world of fashion, Zaldy presented eight NYFW runway collections under his own name, while also acting as head designer with Gwen Stefani and Andrea Lieberman for Gwen’s fashion collection L.A.M.B.  Zaldy has also designed for major music tours such as Michael Jackson’s “This Is It,” Lady Gaga’s “Monster Ball,” Britney Spears’ “Femme Fatale,” Pink’s “Beautiful Trauma,” as well as creating major looks for Katy Perry’s “ Witness” and Lady Gaga’s “Joanne,” among many others.

Zaldy has designed all three of RuPaul’s television shows from the beginning: RuPaul’s Drag Race U.S., RuPaul’s Drag Race U.K. and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars. Earlier this year Netflix released his first scripted series starring RuPaul called AJ and the Queen., and he is working on a huge stage production for the U.K. opening 2022.
