World Affairs Lecture: Traveling While Muslim: A Woman’s Perspective

The Department of Social Sciences presents a World Affairs lecture with journalist Sarah Khan on her travels abroad as a Muslim woman. This event will be hosted by Yasemin Celik Levine, professor of Political Science and executive director of the Presidential Scholars Program.

The Department of Social Sciences’ World Affairs Lecture Series fulfills FIT’s mission to foster an understanding of diverse cultures and politics within the international as well as domestic perspectives. It also embraces, supports, and expands upon the president’s campus-wide initiative on civility.

Sarah Khan
Khan has lived in five countries on three continents: Canada, Saudi Arabia, India, the U.S., and South Africa. She is a regular contributor to The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Condé Nast Traveler, Saveur, Food and Wine, Surface, Vogue India, and Virtuoso Life.
