FIT Honors Veterans Day: The Seventh Annual March of Colors

The FIT community and neighbors are invited to FIT's annual Veterans Day March of Colors. The march, led by FIT Public Safety Director Mario Cabrera, will begin outside of the Feldman Center and culminate in the Breezeway with the playing of “Taps,” a moment of silence, and performances of the National Anthem and “America, the Beautiful” by the FIT Gospel Choir and remarks by President Joyce F. Walk to the Triangle Fire Memorial Unveiling

On October 11, a memorial to the victims of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire will be unveiled on the façade of the Asch/Brown Building on the corner of Washington Place and Greene Street where the fire took place in 1911, almost halfway between the Draft Riots and March on Washington.
