What’s the Story? Find Out on FIT Newsroom

Here it is: the place to discover FIT in a fresh new way.

It’s FIT Newsroom, developed by the Division of Communications and External Relations (CER) as the central source for news and information about the college, as well as a resource for media. The site tells the FIT story in all its facets with incisive writing, lively graphics, and interactive media that’s geared to all audiences.

Newsroom is a website, but it’s also a process. It’s a more comprehensive and strategic way of reaching out to the FIT community, using a journalistic style of communicating with all parts of the college to find out what’s happening in your areas. By understanding what’s on your horizons, CER can more effectively plan ahead and present the stories about the college that matter to you.

But going out and finding the story is not the only way we’re gathering information. We also encourage you to send your story ideas (and tell us what you think of the site) at [email protected]. Additionally, we will welcome faculty, staff, and students to CER open-house sessions to pitch story ideas. Dates and times will be announced soon.

To direct you to the most timely and important stories on Newsroom, a new weekly e-newsletter—Newsroom Direct—will be sent to the FIT community, beginning on August 29. Newsroom Direct will replace the current FIT Direct and will continue to highlight campus events and faculty and staff accomplishments.

So, what’s the story? Find out on Newsroom.
