CBS-TV’s Mission Unstoppable, which focuses on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education and is shown on Saturday mornings and online platforms, recently featured FIT’s Theanne Schiros, associate professor, Science and Math, on the topic of designing and engineering new, environmentally conscious materials to reach climate goals.
Schiros walks viewers through her process of developing a new, environmentally conscious “bioleather,” breaking it down from ideation through the various steps, all the way to the finished product and how the material can be used to make various products and accessories.
