Connecting Our Community: Korean Tea Ceremony
November 21, 2016 at 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
A performance of an important aspect of East Asian culture—the traditional tea ceremony—will be held as part of the Connecting Our Community initiative, which seeks to build an inclusive community in which students, faculty, and staff engage with, learn from, and inspire each other. The Korean tea ceremony will be performed by Sei Ryun Chun, an artist of abstract expressionism who performs a traditional Korean tea ceremony at all of her exhibitions. Attendees will have the chance to learn and be exposed to Korean traditions and culture.
This event was arranged by faculty member Kyunghee Pyun, Art History, and student coordinator Lakshmi Bisram through a Connecting Our Community grant, an initiative serving FIT’s Strategic Plan, and is also sponsored by a three-year pilot program organized by the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Success.
This event is open to the FIT community only. To RSVP, email [email protected].
