Art and Design Gallery

The works in this exhibition open the mind and tell stories. They represent discoveries made through photographs, garments, journals, poetry, and sculpture. This show is joyful and reflective yet nuanced, personal, and thought-provoking—jumpstarting the collaborative learning process this fall at FIT.

A selection of paintings from Juneteenth 2021, “Love and Resilience,” organized and curated by Joi Berry, Natasha Bwalya, Khyla D. Walters, and Rukaiah El, are also displayed in the lobby. Read more about the creation of this work. 

A Virtual Artists Talk for Journey, Journal, Joy will take place on Thursday, Sept. 23, from 1 to 2 pm. The guest speakers will be Nicole Benefield, Joi Berry, Jon Cowan, and Smiljana Peros. RSVP online.

About the Art and Design Gallery

The Art and Design Gallery brings together the work of FIT students, faculty, alumni, and invited outside artists in every exhibition. The gallery, located in the glass-walled lobby of FIT’s Pomerantz Center, is a window into the college and a window out, serving as a space to foster learning and innovation.

The gallery is open 9 am to 9 pm daily.
