Join Elspeth H. Brown for a presentation of her book Work!, an out-of-the-ordinary history of 20th-century American culture and capitalism. Brown tells the largely unknown story of queer models and photographers, showing how queer sensibilities shaped the commercialized sexuality that’s at the center of consumer capitalism. A book signing will follow.

All Fashion Culture events are free, but registration is required; register online here, call (212) 217-4585, or email [email protected].

This event is open to the public.
