Poet Solmaz Sharif will read from and discuss her groundbreaking book of poems, LOOK (Graywolf Press, 2016), a finalist for the National Book Award. LOOK asks readers to see the ongoing costs of war as the unbearable loss of lives and also the insidious abuses against everyday speech.
A book signing will follow, courtesy of Barnes & Noble at FIT.
Solmaz Sharif appears as part of Fine Lines: Reclaiming Imperiled Language and Culture, a grant funded by the FIT Diversity Council.
