Join us for a virtual conversation featuring FIT Professor Yuniya (Yuni) Kawamura, the World Shibori Network Foundation’s Yoshiko Iwamoto Wada and David Salama, and FIT student Nana Osako.
Yoshiko Iwamoto Wada is a scholar, curator, artist, and exponent of traditional and contemporary textile art and design. She is the founder of Shi⧫Bo⧫Ri by World Shibori Network Foundation.
Yuniya (Yuni) Kawamura is a professor of Sociology in the Social Sciences Department.
David Salama is an artist by training with a BFA in Graphic Design from Tyler School of Art and a deep interest in all the arts.
Nana Osako is currently enrolled in the Textile/Surface Design BFA program at FIT.
Globally Connected @ FIT is hosted by the Office of International Programs, History of Art, and the Cultural Fellows.
