Pet Therapy in the Library

April 16 at 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Pet therapy, also known as animal-assisted therapy, has emerged as a powerful tool for reducing stress among college students. Interacting with therapy animals, such as dogs has been shown to have numerous psychological benefits, including lowering levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, and increasing the release of oxytocin, the “feel-good” hormone.

Come pet a pup and get a sense of calmness to help you unwind and recharge. Simply being in the presence of animals may help reduce your anxiety, improve your mood, and enhance your overall well-being.
