The Clothesline Project
April 2, 2018 at 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
FIT supports The Clothesline Project, a visual display that bears witness to relationship violence. During the public display, a clothesline is hung with shirts; each shirt is decorated to represent a particular person’s experience, by the survivor themselves or by someone who cares about them. Join us to help educate, document, and raise society’s awareness of the extent of the problem of relationship violence. Create a shirt to help with the healing process of those who have lost a loved one or who are survivors of violence. Shirts will be prominently displayed in the Dubinsky Center Lobby during the month of April and in the Feldman Center Lobby during the first week of April.
Students will be able to see their newly made shirts exhibited at FIT’s Yards for Yeardley event on Tuesday, April 17. (The rain date for the event is April 24.)
Sexual Assault Awareness Education is brought to you by the Campus Anti-violence Education Group and sponsored by the FIT Security Advisory Committee, Division of Enrollment Management and Student Success, Department of Athletics and Recreation, Residence Hall Association, and more.
