FIT in the News – December 16, 2016

The Division of Communications and External Relations is pleased to share FIT in the News, which reports highlights of major news stories about the college and/or that quote the college’s experts. These stories will be accessible for at least seven days by clicking on the links below.

The Wall Street Journal article on the new Fashion Business Management interdisciplinary course Predictive Analytics for Planning and Forecasting: Case Studies with Weatherization was picked up by FashionUnited.uk (December 6). The original article called FIT “one of the largest and best-known fashion schools.”

Kelly Brennan, vice president, Enrollment Management and Student Success, spoke with The New York Post (December 11) for an article on the hidden costs of tuition. Brennan stressed “although the college is best known for its fashion design programs, FIT in fact has nearly 50 majors.”

Black Fashion Designers, which opened at MFIT on December 6, received coverage on PollyTalkFromNY.com (December 5), BlackEnterprise.com (December 6), Observer.com (December 7), and in Metro New York (December 7) and International New York Times (December 11). A feature story by The Associated Press (with 13 image slide show, December 9), was picked up by hundreds of media outlets, including The Detroit Times, Detroit Free Press, WashingtonTimes.com, MiamiHerald.com, SFChronicle.com, and SeattlePI.com.
