FIT to Host First Annual Omni Retailing Symposium with Peter Nordstrom, Katia Beauchamp and Others

Retailing represents over 40% of the U.S. economy and has enormous global financial importance. Understanding today’s quickly evolving retail climate is critical to success in a retail career. The first annual FIT symposium on omni retailing — the seamless approach to the consumer experience through all available shopping channels — will serve as a forum and think tank for retail business leaders to discuss best practices for future implementation of omni retailing strategies. Topics include “Omni Retailing from the Viewpoint of the Established Retailer,” “The Analyst’s Point of View on Omni Retailing,” and “How Technology is Changing the Retail Landscape.”Keynote speaker Peter Nordstrom, executive vice president, president of merchandising, and director, Nordstrom Inc. will address “Omni Retailing From the Viewpoint of an Established Retailer.” Other speakers are: Katia Beauchamp, co-founder and co-CEO, Birchbox; Jean-Marc Bellaiche, senior partner and managing director, The Boston Consulting Group; David Cox, global business manager, Microsoft-BOA; and Dr. Joyce F. Brown, president, FIT.
