Lecture: Mexico@NYC: The Muralists in New York

Monday, October 5, 5-6 pm
Dubinsky Student Center, Room A802

As part of Hispanic Heritage Month in October, the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures brings Dr. Rocio Aranda Alvarado, curator of El Museo del Barrio, to give a talk titled “Mexico@NYC: The Muralists in New York City.” The Muralist Movement was a direct outgrowth of the Mexican Revolution (1910-40), and it influenced many artists throughout the Americas, particularly in New York.
