The catalog for Under(my)ning Tradition, the theme of 2014-15’s ARTSpeak series and culminating exhibition, won a merit award from the 2015 Winter HOW In-House Design Awards in the Education category. The digital publication includes student interviews and interactive features to actively engage with the articles while reading them. Communication Design faculty members C.J. Yeh and Christie Shin led the student collaborators and directed the creative design. ARTspeak, which features artists’ lectures and studio visits, is a collaboration among the departments of Fine Arts, History of Art, Photography, and Communication Design.
