Pomerantz Center, Room D207
As a follow-up to Dr. Rochelle Saidel’s talk on “Sexual Violence During the Holocaust,” on April 7, the Holocaust Commemoration Committee will hold a screening of the 2015 film Phoenix. The New York Times described it as “a compact, haunting thriller…of post-war Germany,” and “intriguing, coolly intelligent and flawlessly paced.” The film, which is in German with English subtitles, will be followed by a brief discussion with Andrew Weinstein of the History of Art Department and sexual violence prevention educator Terry Ginder. This event is co-sponsored by the Social Sciences Department and the Film and Media program. For information on Holocaust Remembrance Day events, on April 7, click here.
