Eight FIT faculty members have been honored with awards from the State University of New York (SUNY), and three additional faculty members have received awards from FIT.
- Jean Amato, associate professor, English and Communication Studies, School of Liberal Arts, has received a 2015-16 FIT Faculty Excellence Award.
- Judith Ellis, professor, Toy Design, School of Art and Design, has received the 2015-16 SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professorship.
- Anne Finkelstein, assistant professor, Visual Presentation and Exhibition Design, School of Art and Design, has received the 2015-16 SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching.
- Takashi Kamiya, associate professor, Interior Design, School of Art and Design, has received the 2015-16 SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.
- Michele Nagel, director, Pre-College Programs, Center for Professional and Continuing Studies, has received the 2015-16 SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service.
- Emre Ozsoz, assistant professor, Social Sciences, School of Liberal Arts, has received the 2015-16 SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities.
- Susan Rietman, professor, Textile/Surface Design, School of Art and Design, has received the 2015-16 SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Faculty Service.
- Jeffrey Silberman, professor, Textile Development and Marketing, Jay and Patty Baker School of Business and Technology, has received the 2015-16 FIT President’s Award for Faculty Excellence.
- Andrew Weinstein, associate professor, History of Art, School of Liberal Arts, has received the 2015-16 SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.
- Joel Werring, assistant professor, Fine Arts, School of Art and Design, has received the 2015-16 FIT Faculty Excellence Award.
- Jerilyn Zulli, assistant professor, English and Communication Studies, School of Liberal Arts, has received the 2015-16 SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching
