FIT in the News – February 2, 2017

The Division of Communications and External Relations is pleased to share FIT in the News, which reports highlights of major news stories about the college and/or that quote the college’s experts. These stories will be accessible for at least seven days by clicking on the links below. (Mexico, January 24) reported that FIT is once again participating in the NYC Design Talks series, a program of NYCxDesign. Other participants include Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute, and the Cooper Union.

The Albany Times Union reported that Mary Davis, dean, School of Graduate Studies, will be participating in “The Sound of Style,” a talk at the Albany Institute of History and Art. (January 14) selected Leyda Hernandez, adjunct instructor, Advertising and Marketing Communications, for the 2017 Forbes 30 Under 30 list in the Marketing and Advertising category.

Black Fashion Designers, currently on display at The Museum at FIT, received coverage on (January 25), (February 2),  and in Town & Village (January 19) and Art in America (February issue).

Paris Refashioned, 1957-1968 received advance coverage on (January 30) and in Watch! CBS Magazine (February issue), and Marie Claire Brazil (February issue, clip unavailable).
