FIT’s Media Services, a part of the Division of Information Technology, has changed its name to Media and Event Technology Services. The new name, which came about after a divisional assessment by Deloitte last year, reflects the department’s growth, new services, and new resources.
These services are now broken into four primary categories:
- Media Technology Support: The traditional classroom support offered by Media Services, such as help when technology doesn’t work during a presentation.
- Creative Media Production: Assistance with creative media content, such as videos or sound production.
- Media Technology Integration: Collaboration with end users, such as architects of tomorrow’s classrooms, to determine the best tools for our students, as technology continues to evolve.
- Live Event Production: Provision of the most current technology services for needs such as live streaming and remote connection of guests to events.
