Yuniya (Yuni) Kawamura, Sociology, received sari donations as an ongoing educational resource from Border & Fall, a multidisciplinary creative agency based in New Delhi, India. She then taught all of the students in her course Cultural Expressions of Non-Western Dress/Fashion how to drape the saris. It is part of the mission of Border & Fall to document regional sari drapes through its Sari Series.
Also, earlier in April, a revised edition of Kawamura’s book Fashion-ology, with two additional chapters on subcultures and technology, was published by Bloomsbury in the U.K.
