Three Recent FIT Graduates Selected for CFDA Fashion Future Graduate Showcase

Three Fashion Design majors who graduated in May are among the 53 recent graduates from eight schools who will show their collections as part of the Fashion Future Graduate Showcase July 9-11. The Council of Fashion Designers of America, Inc. (CFDA) has organized this physical and digital showcase in partnership with the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) for the second consecutive year.

Kihyun Kim, whose specialization was special occasion, and Ian Greer and Clara Belevan, both of whom specialized in sportswear, will receive industry exposure along with professional and mentorship opportunities along with alumni from Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute, Rhode Island School of Design, Savannah College of Art + Design, Kent State University, Academy of Art University, and California College of the Arts.

The Graduate Showcase is a curated physical exhibition on view from July 9-10 at Industria Studios at 775 Washington Street, along with a program spotlighting four designers on July 11 at Industria Studios at 356 West 12th Street.

The Graduate Showcase also provides the participants with a one-year digital platform on cfda.com. As an extension of NYCEDC’s Made in NY Initiative and CFDA Education + Professional Development, the multi-experience platform connects the graduates across all design specializations including apparel, accessories, jewelry, textiles/materials, and technical design.
